Let me start out by saying that up until now I have been happily with Statefarm 37 years. When I moved to Columbiana, I moved my insurance from Centerpoint to Craig Dorris’s office. I have never been able to meet or speak with him in person and to be honest, I’m unsure he actually exists. This past week when our auto insurance came out of my checking account it came out at more than double the normal amount. When I called the office, clearly upset, and spoke with the young lady that sits in the front of the office she explained that she made decisions on my account as to what vehicles my boys would be on and that is why the account went up. While I was telling her how unhappy I was that they made decisions on my account without speaking with me, she continuously talked over me instead of listening to why I was upset. I told her I would like to hear from Craig Dorris as soon as possible about my account. I never heard from Craig Dorris and ended up going down the street through Progressive and saving nearly $400 a month on my auto insurance with an additional car added (5 Total). Apparently, this is the way State Farm agents do business. Now they open the office and hire people at a fraction of the pay to sell their policies for them. Little did I know my loyalty to Statefarm was costing me money in the long run.
